Truck drivers in the US usually take place per miles per mile. In which on an average, Rs 0.60 to 0.70 is paid from US $ 0.70 per mile. A truck driver who runs 500-600 miles daily can earn about 4.2 lakh to 6.7 lakhs every month. Some companies also pay salary per hour. Which can earn from 1,680 to 2,520 per hour. It depends on the driver’s experience, company and state. The average annual salary of truck drivers in the US is around 40 million. Some big companies like Walmart, Amazon etc. also provide 95,000 to 110,000 US dollars i.e. about 80 lakh to 92 lakhs annually.
How many Indians will sprinkle the job after the ban?
By 2021, there were truck drivers of over 7,20,000 foreign origin in the US. About 18 percent of these truck drivers are of foreign origin. The number of people from India, Mexico, Latin America and Eastern European countries (such as Ukraine) has increased rapidly in the trucking industry. Thousands of Indians are driving trucks especially in California, USA. Most of them are from Punjab and Haryana and most belong to the Sikh community. A 2018 report said that in just two years more than 30,000 Indian Sikhs joined the trucking industry.
According to the decision of the US government, new visas will no longer be released, work permits will stop and will stop getting commercial license. This will have the most effect on those Indians who are already in America or want to work there. Those who are already working validly, their condition is not currently in danger, but visa renewal may face problems. Experts believe that if this ban continues for a long time, then the jobs of thousands of Indian drivers can be lost.
