Heavy rains in Rajasthan have caused havoc. Heavy to very heavy rains continued in different parts of the state in the last 24 hours, with the highest 29 cm of rainfall in Dausa. The situation is such that a two -day school holiday had to be announced in Jaipur.
In fact, many areas of Bundi, Sawaimadhopur and Kota districts of Rajasthan have arisen like floods. Rain water has entered the houses in Bundi. Rescue and relief work is going on here.
On Sunday (August 23), there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Bikaner and parts of Ajmer divisions. At the same time, the state capital Jaipur is in the grip of rain for the second consecutive day, due to which there has been waterlogging in many areas. Roads were submerged in many parts of the city, the water level reached the height of the knees.
School closed for 2 days in Jaipur
In view of the forecast of heavy rains, District Collector Jitendra Soni has ordered all government and private schools to be closed on Monday and Tuesday. There was a number of power failure in Barkat Nagar, Tonk Gate etc. areas on Saturday night and it took about seven hours for the technical team to fix it.
Apart from this, the Jaipur Development Authority has decided to close two parks, Kishan Bagh and Golden Jubilee Park located near Vidyadhar Nagar from Monday to Wednesday. This decision was taken after the parks turned into mud filled areas due to waterlogging.
Water entered hospital in Udaipur
Flood -like conditions remain in many areas of Kota, Bundi and Sawai Madhopur districts. The rescue team has evacuated people from the affected areas. Water entered a part of Maharana Bhupal Singh Hospital in Udaipur late on Saturday night.
Next 3-4 days the possibility of heavy rain
The weather center has predicted heavy rains in some areas of the state for the next three-four days. In the coming days, there can be strong rains in many districts here.
