Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has repeated the demand for full state status again. He said that we hope from the Supreme Court that when this case comes, the court will set a time limit and we will soon get back the status of the state.

National Conference leader Abdullah said that it is unfortunate that the Supreme Court is not ready to hear the case before October 10. Omar Abdullah said, “We hoped that the Indian government would restore us the status of full state as soon as possible. The day our government took charge, we passed a resolution for restoration.”

The issue raised in front of PM Modi- CM

The CM claimed that, in his first meeting with Prime Minister Modi, I handed him a copy of the proposal. We were hopeful and showed patience, but we got nothing but waiting on this issue. “

Omar Abdullah said, “He is the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir today, as the Supreme Court had directed the Center to hold elections within the stipulated time, but unfortunately the Supreme Court did not set any time-limit to restore state status.”

What did Omar Abdullah say on Mehbooba Mufti’s performance?

On the release of political prisoners and other issues, Omar Abdullah said that he should put his side before the Union Home Minister, who control the law and order of Jammu and Kashmir.

Omar Abdullah said, “We all know that all aspects of security of Jammu and Kashmir are seen directly from New Delhi. I will ask Mehbooba Mufti to go to Delhi and meet the Home Minister and make them aware of the situation. No matter how concerned we are about the welfare of political prisoners, we cannot do anything.”

Case in Supreme Court

Let us know that on August 14, a petition demanding full state status was heard in the Supreme Court. During this time, the apex court had asked the central government to file a written reply on the petitions in 8 weeks. Also, during the hearing, Chief Justice BR Gawai said that the ground truth cannot be expected while considering this matter. We have to remember what kind of incident took place in Pahalgam a few days ago.

In August 2019, the central government removed Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and divided 2 union territories to Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
