The 358 crore sponsorship deal between BCCI and Dream11 is now over. The reason is the new law – Online Gaming Promotion & Regulation Bill 2025, which has been approved by President Draupadi Murmu by passing Parliament. Under this bill, Real Money Gaming such as fantasy sports, rummy, poker, and lottery has now been banned completely. Government says that the purpose of this law is to prevent Youth from addiction, money laundering and stop gaming frauds. BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia clearly said that no fantasy gaming company will be connected to Team India or IPL. Brands like Dream11 and My11Circle had given sponsorship of more than ₹ 1000 crores so far. Now the question arises – Who will be the new sponsor of TEAM India jersey?
