US President Donald Trump has again threatened Russia on Wednesday (August 27, 2025) to stop the Ukraine war. Trump warned Vladimir Putin that if Russia may face the Economic War if he fails his conversation on Ukraine war and Ukrainian President Volodimir Jailonsky.
President Trump said during a meeting at the White House that the Economic War will be very bad for Russia. He said, “It will not be a world war, but an economic war, which will be very bad. It will also make it very bad for Russia and I do not want so.”
Trump swear to end the war, but the situation still difficult
However, according to Bloomberg report, Donald Trump had earlier vowed that he ended Russia’s military operations against Ukraine as soon as he would take over as President of America. Since then, he will end Russia’s ongoing attacks against Ukraine, but the situation of Ukraine war remains difficult even after Trump became President in January 2025.
Even US President Donald Trump met Russian President Vladimir Putin at a summit in Alaska on August 15 this month to prevent the Russia-Ukraine war. This meeting of Trump-Putin was expected to progress the establishment of peace in the Ukraine war. But this meeting of Trump-Putin was inconclusive.
Trump imposed several restrictions to put pressure on Russia
US President Donald Trump announced several sanctions against Moscow. In addition, Trump also warned all the countries of the world to bear the ban and other consequences, which used to purchase oil from Russia, as Trump believes Russia is collecting export tax revenue to crude oil, which is helping to continuously run military campaigns on Ukraine.
Trump imposed an additional 50 percent tariff on India
In the link of the sanctions imposed on Russia, Trump declared an additional 50 percent tariff on India for continuously importing crude oil from Russia. However, the same trump did not implement high tariffs against China, which imports more oil and gas than Russia.
