The Sri Lankan cricket team will play a 3 -match T20 series on the Zimbabwe tour before the Cricket Asia Cup 2025, for which the Sri Lanka Cricket Board announced the squad on Thursday. The 17 -member team under the captaincy of Charith Asanka include Kushal Perera, Kushal Mendis, Kamindu Mendis, Mahesh Dixhana. It is possible that Sri Lanka’s squad will also be the same for the Asia Cup.
Sri Lanka Cricket Team is included in Group B of Asia Cup. He is accompanied by teams from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Hong Kong in this group. Before the Asia Cup, Sri Lanka’s team will play a 3 -match T20 series on Zimbabwe tour. Earlier, the first ODI will be played on Friday. Sri Lanka will also play 2 ODIs on the tour, after that the first T20 will be played on 3 September.

Zim vs SL T20 series schedule
Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka will be played on first T20 Wednesday, 3 September, second T20 Saturday, 6 September and third T20 Sunday, 7 September. All matches will start at 5 pm Indian time. The three T20 Harare will be played at the Sports Club Stadium.
Sri Lanka’s schedule in Asia Cup
The first match of Cricket Asia Cup 2025 will be played between Afghanistan and Hong Kong on Tuesday, 9 September. The second match will be held between Team India and UAE on 10 September. The first match of the Sri Lanka cricket team will be against Bangladesh at Sheikh Zaid Cricket Stadium on Saturday, September 13. The match will be played from 7:30 pm Indian time. A total of 8 teams will play in the Asia Cup, which are divided into 2 groups of 4-4. After the group stage, the top 2 teams of each group will enter Super 4 and the remaining 4 teams will be out. After this, after the Super 4 matches, the final will be clashed between the top 2 teams on September 28.
