For the first time after the meeting of Putin and Trump, Russia has launched a big attack on Ukraine’s capital Kiev. Russia has targeted the European Union (EU) building at Kiev, a bank and British Council building from the Hypersonic missiles like Kinjhal and Iskandar. Ukraine alleges that 15 people died and 38 people were injured in these attacks on Thursday (August 28, 2025).
Ukraine alleges that Russia carried out attacks with hypersonic missiles and drones simultaneously at 20 different locations in Kiev. An attack was very close to the Embassy of Azerbaijan. In turn, Ukraine has attacked a drone on a warship in Russia. The attack was carried out at a missile corvit (small ship) in the Ajov Sea close to Crimea.
Missile strike transformed the entire building into debris
According to the information, many missile attacks occurred in Kiev on Thursday. CCTV footage of these attacks has also been revealed, in which the entire building turns into a fireball with a missile strike. Ukraine alleges that apart from Kiev, Russia attacked the power plants in Vintisia, while drones and rockets also carried out attacks in Diniphevsk, Japorezia and Khersone.
There has been a strong response from the Heads of European countries including Ukraine President Volodimir Jailnsky regarding these attacks. Jailonsky alleged that 14 (now 15) people, including 03 children, have lost their lives in the latest Russian attacks. Jailonsky alleged that Russia’s attacks have been carried out in the residential areas, which makes it clear that Russia does not want to end war. Jailonsky has demanded strict ban on Russia.
England PM reacted
England Prime Minister Kir Stmper held Russian President Vladimir Putin responsible for the attack on the British Council building and said that this bloodshed should end. The stormer accused Putin of killing children and common citizens and ending the hopes of peace.
French President Emmanuel Macron alleged that Russia attacked Ukraine with 629 missiles and drones in one night. Macro condemned the strike on the EU -linked building. EU vice president Kaza Kallis said that where the whole world wants to follow the path of peace, Russia is responding to the missile. There has been no official reaction from Russia regarding the latest attack on Kiev.
No peace talks between Putin-Jalensky
On the 15th of the same month, there was talks between US President Donald Trump and Putin to end the Ukraine war in Alaska. After this, the heads of state from Jailnsky and half a dozen countries of Europe met Trump at the White House, but even after two weeks, no talk has progressed about the meeting between Russia and Ukraine or Putin-Jalensky.
