In Chamoli, Uttarakhand, the incident of cloudburst has once again come to light. There has been an outcry due to cloudburst in Mopata village of Tehsil Dewal of the district. Due to cloudburst, there is a notice of being buried in the debris of the house and the cowshed. Two people are said to be missing in this incident.
After cloudburst, debris came so fast that people did not even get a chance to recover. The scene of debris and destruction is visible in the village. There is an atmosphere of panic among the villagers. As soon as the incident was reported, administrative teams are engaged in relief and rescue operations.
Cloudy burst in Chamoli havoc
According to the information received so far, there is information about the disappearance of a person named Tara Singh and his wife in this accident. After which there is chaos in the family. Apart from him, Vikram Singh and his wife of the village are seriously injured. He has been admitted to the hospital. The administration has started relief and rescue operations.
There is also a report of a cowshed in the grip of this debris. There is a possibility of 15 to 20 cattle being suppressed in this debris. There is an atmosphere of chaos all around after the accident.
CM Dhami gave instructions for immediate help
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has also expressed grief over the accident and has given instructions for immediate relief and rescue work. CM Dhami informed on X- ‘Under the Tehsil Basuadar area of Rudraprayag district, there has been a sad news of some families being trapped due to debris due to cloudburst in the Dewal area of Chamoli district.
Relief and rescue operations continue on a war footing by the local administration, in this regard, I am constantly in touch with the officials, talking to the Disaster Secretary and the District Magistrates and gave necessary instructions for effective operations of rescue operations. I pray to Baba Kedar for everyone to be safe.
Chamoli District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari has informed about the accident. He said that two people are missing and many animals have been buried in the incident of cloudburst in Dewal area of Chamoli district. Roads are closed due to heavy rains in the entire district. Relief teams have reached the spot.
