In the annual general meeting of Reliance Industries (AGM), Anant Ambani took the stage for the first time and surprised everyone with his vision. He made it clear that the next chapter of Reliance will now be focused on clean energy, future technology, and manufacture of the world’s largest Giga factories. Anant Ambani announced that Reliance in Kutch, Gujarat is creating the world’s largest single-site solar energy project, which will be spread over 5,50,000 acres-this area is three times larger than Singapore! This project will have the ability to meet about 10% of India’s power needs. Not only this, Reliance’s new Dhirubhai Ambani Giga Energy Complex is being prepared in Jamnagar, which will be four times larger than Tesla’s Gigafctor. This factory will be spread over 44 million sqft and its construction will use 3.4 million cubic meters of concrete, 7 lakh tonnes of steel and 1 lakh kilometers – which is equal to 100 Eiffel towers in the scale! Anant Ambani also said that in the last 3 years, Reliance has saved 10 million gigazol energy, and the company’s focus is now on green fuel and clean energy solutions. He clearly said, “We will continue investing in future technology.” Reliance is now going to be the backbone of Green Future of India, not just a company.
