A heartbreaking accident occurred during Ganesh immersion in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. Bolero hit a high speed on the villagers going for Ganpati immersion in the garden police station area. In this accident, 3 people died and more than 30 people were injured. The injured people were immediately admitted to the garden hospital, while patients with critical condition were referred to Ambikapur.
People beaten the driver
After the accident, the driver of Bolero started trying to escape from there, but the villagers present on the spot caught him and beat him fiercely. The police team immediately reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. At present, the police is investigating the case and action is being taken against the driver.
Eyewitnesses said that Bolero was coming from Raikera. Due to the high speed, it went uncontrolled and entered the immersion procession directly. At the time of the accident, about one hundred and fifty people were involved in the procession, who were going towards the pond for Ganpati immersion. Due to the collision of the vehicle, people jumped into the air and fell on the ground and many people got buried under the vehicle. This caused chaos and people started screaming.

Local police, SP and collector reached the spot as soon as the information of the accident was received. He started the well being of the injured and started relief work. The police is doing a thorough investigation into the accident and the dialect is preparing for legal action against the driver.
After the accident, CMHO Dr. GS Jatra alerted the health staff. At the same time, BMO Dr. Sunil Lakra is engaged in the treatment of the injured people with his team. Jashpur MLA Raimuni Bhagat also reached the garden hospital late at night and met the injured and their families. He assured all possible help to the affected families.
