What did the US court say
In 2025, the financial year tariff revenue was $ 86.5 billion as compared to this time. This increase in revenue matches the federal appeal of the court, stating that President Donald Trump has encroached his right by using emergency powers to put a wide global tariff. At the same time, Trump described the unexpected benefits from the tariff as ‘very beautiful to see’, because it is increasing cash in America.
The court said in one of its decisions that the right to impose such tariffs is completely with the Congress or the existing trade policy structure. This decision will not be applicable to the tariffs imposed by other legal authorities, such as steel and aluminum imports on behalf of Trump. Attorney General Palm Bandi announced that the Department of Justice will appeal to the Supreme Court against this decision. Meanwhile, the court has allowed Tariff to remain in force till 14 October.
