Crores of passengers travel through trains daily in the country. And the number of these passengers is seen very much during the festivals. As the festive season arrives, the crowd of passengers in trains increases manifold. On occasions like Chhath Puja, Diwali and Durga Puja, it becomes very difficult to get tickets from Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal and South India to metro cities.
At such a time, the railway makes special arrangements for the convenience of passengers every year. This time also the same arrangement has been made by the Railways. More than 12000 special trains have been announced by the Railway Minister to run more than 12000 special trains. So 150 special trains will be run from 21 September to 30 November. Let us tell which route will run on which route and how will their booking be done.
Plan of Zone Wise Special Trains
Many special trains are run on Diwali and Chhath, especially during the festive season. Most of the trains will be run by South Central Railway. So at the same time 14 trains have been fixed on the Bihar route by the East Central Railway. Which will do total 588 trips. It will cover big cities like Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga and Muzaffarpur. Eastern Railway will run 24 trains on Kolkata, Sealdah and Howrah routes. Which will do 198 trips.

24 trains will be run by Western Railway on Mumbai, Surat and Vadodara routes. This will benefit the passengers living outside Gujarat and Maharashtra. So the Southern Railway will run 10 special trains on South Indian routes like Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai which will do 66 trips.
Special arrangements will also be made from the rest of the zones
Apart from this, special service will also be given from many more zones. Trains will run from East Coast Railways on Bhubaneswar, Puri and Sambalpur routes. South Eastern Railway will provide relief to passengers on Ranchi and Tatanagar routes while North Central Railway will get relief from Prayagraj and Kanpur routes. Apart from this, special trains will also be run during festivals from major routes like Bilaspur, Raipur, Bhopal and Kota. Railways say that this is just the first phase. More special trains will be run further. In view of Chhath, the Railway Minister has already given information about 12000 trains on the routes of Bihar and eastern India.

How will booking be done?
This question comes in the minds of many people when arrangements are made to run a special train on behalf of the railway. So is a special process is kept again for their reservation or for booking. So let us tell you that this does not happen at all. Booking of special trains from the Railways is also made online from the counter like normal trains.
