Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has been approved by former MLA pension by Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. Pension was closed after being appointed governor
Significantly, Jagdeep Dhankhar was a Congress MLA from Kishangarh seat from 1993 to 1998. After leaving the post of MLA, he continued to get pension till July 2019. But this facility was closed after being appointed as the Governor of West Bengal. After being freed from the post of Vice President, he has once again been restored for former MLA pension.

In the 1993 elections, the Congress gave ticket to Jagdeep Dhankhar in the Kishangarh seat of Rajasthan. Dhankar got a total of 41 thousand 444 votes in the assembly elections. He defeated BJP’s candidate Jagjit Singh. Jagjit Singh got 39 thousand 486 votes.
First MP then became MLA
In 1989, Dhankar won the Lok Sabha election. He defeated Mohammad Ayub Khan of Congress as a Janata Dal candidate from Jhunjhunu Lok Sabha seat. Then he got 4 lakh 21 thousand 686 votes. Ayub Khan was second with 2 lakh 59 thousand 705 votes.
