The BCCI’s salary system is such that the players are divided into 4 parts. There are only 2 such players in Indian cricket, who take equal salary as Rohit and Virat.
How many salary do Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma take?
In the Central Contract List of BCCI, players are divided into four grades. These players are tanked under Grade A+, Grade A, Grade B and Grade C. Grade A+ cricketers get 7 crores annually, 5 crore to grade A players with Grade B and Grade C players get a tank of Rs 1 crore in a year.
Since Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma fall in the grade A+ of the Central Contract List, BCCI gives them a tank of Rs 7 crore for a year.

Apart from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, only Jaspreet Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are present in Grade A+. Therefore, BCCI gives a salary of Rs 7 crore annually to Bumrah and Jadeja with Virat and Rohit.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were last seen representing Team India in the final of the Champions Trophy 2025. Both of them will not play in the Asia Cup, which will be played in T20 format, but Virat and Rohit have said goodbye to T20 cricket. If Virat and Rohit play in all ODI matches for Team India in 2025, then they will be seen playing only 6 more matches this year.
