The Pakistan cricket team has started showing tantrums again. Within a few weeks, 2027 Women’s ODI World Cup is going to begin, which will start from 30 September. India and Sri Lanka are going to host the World Cup together and the opening ceremony is going to be held in Guwahati on 30 September. Now the Pakistani media agency Jio Super has reported that the Pak team will not attend this inauguration ceremony.
Shreya Ghoshal is going to add to her singing at this inauguration ceremony before the first match of the tournament between India and Sri Lanka on 30 September. According to Geo News, Pakistan captain Fatima Sana and no player of the team will attend this inauguration ceremony.
What can be the reason?
Just a few days ago, the Government of India has implemented a new policy on playing with Pakistan. Under this policy, the Indian team will not play bilateral series with Pakistan in any sport. Although both will not visit each other’s country in ICC tournaments, the match will be played. The Indian team has not visited Pakistan after 2008 due to deteriorating political relations.
This year, the Indian team refused to go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. As a result, the match of both teams was played in Neutral Venue (Dubai). In the Women’s World Cup, the Pak team will play all their matches at the R Premdasa Stadium in Sri Lanka. At the same time, the match of India and Pakistan will be played on 5 October at R Premdasa Stadium.
Recently, the India-Pakistan match in the Asia Cup is creating an imprisonment for controversy. Due to the policy of neutral venue, BCCI agreed to organize the Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
