Action may be done after boycotting
Devjit Saikia explained why the complete boycott of Pakistan is not possible in the sports world. He said that the Asian Cricket Council or ICC can take strict action after refusing to play with Pakistan in the multitem tournament. Apart from this, they feel that it will not be right for the future of young players.
Saikia said, “The central government has taken into account all the factors along with the concerns of the federations as well as the concerns of the players. If there is a multitim tournament and no team participates in it, a particular federation may also be banned. In such a situation the young players and their career will be ruined.”
Team India does not play bilateral series with Pakistan
For the last several years, India has not been playing bilateral series with Pakistan. Recently, the Government of India made it clear that India will not continue to play bilateral series with Pakistan in any sport, but Team India will play with Pakistan in a multitim tournament.
