Trump Dinner Party: Officers in Trump’s dinner party Finance Minister said – ‘Walk out, I will break my face’

A dinner party held on 4 September 2025 at Washington DC’s Executive Branch Club made headlines when the controversy between US Finance Minister Scott Bessent and Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte reached threat. According to the witnesses, Besant accused Pulte that he was cheating him in front of President Donald Trump. After this, he got angry and abused and said that I will punch your mouth, walk out.

This special dinner included about 30 guests. Transportation Secretary Scene Dafi, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik, Interior Secretary Dag Bergam and National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard were also present on the table. As the dispute increased, the club’s co-owner and financier Omid Malik intervened and separated the two. There is no further conflict at the dinner, so Basant and Pulte were seated at different ends of the table.

Why clash Besent and Pulte?
According to the report of Politico, Besant believes that Pulte is interfering in policy areas which are considered to be the jurisdiction of the Finance Minister. On the other hand, Pulte is trying to install himself as a trump advisor to President Trump. However, this is not the first time that Besant’s quarrel has come into the limelight. At the beginning of the year, he has also had a sharp debate with Allen Musk. Recently he appeared at the US Open with Trump, but was seated some seats away from the President.

Increasing tussle in trump administration
Trump announced in May 2025 that Scott Bassant, Howard Lutnik and Bill Pulte would work on economic policies, but now the controversy shows that the power struggle continues within the administration.
