DSSSB Forest Guard Recruitment 2025: There is great news for the youth dreaming of government jobs in Delhi. Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has issued a notification for recruitment for forest guard posts in Forest and Wildlife Department. This recruitment is a special opportunity for those youth who are 12th pass and want to contribute to the work of nature and forests.

Let us tell you that the application process for this recruitment has started from 18 August 2025 and candidates can apply till 16 September 2025. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of DSSSB https://dssssb.delhi.gov.in. Candidates should apply immediately for this recruitment as the last date is very close.

How many posts will be recruited?

A total of 52 posts will be appointed under this recruitment campaign. Of these, 19 posts are for general category candidates, 18 posts have been placed for other backward class (OBC) candidates. Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates will be given 6 posts, 5 posts to Scheduled Tribes (ST) class and 4 posts will be given to the candidates of economically weaker section (EWS). That is, this recruitment has brought opportunities for the youth of all classes.

What is the necessary eligibility?

To apply for the post of Forest Guard, candidates must have 12th pass. With this, the minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and maximum 27 years. Age will be calculated on the basis of 16 September 2025. However, the candidates of the reserved category will be given a discount in the upper age limit as per the rules of the government.

Physical Standards

It is necessary to be physically fit for the job of forest guard. The length of male candidates should be at least 163 cm and chest should be 84 centimeters, in which it is mandatory to have 5 cm inflated. The length of women candidates should be at least 150 centimeters. The ability to run is also an important part of the selection process. Male candidates will have to complete the 25 km race in 4 hours while women will have to complete the 16 km race in 4 hours.

Application fee will have to be paid so much

Candidates of General, OBC and EWS class will have to deposit Rs 100 as application fee. At the same time, SC, ST, PH and women candidates will not have to pay any kind of fee. The application fee can be paid only through debit card, credit card or internet banking in online mode.

Selection process

In this recruitment, the selection of candidates will be done through written examination. The exam will be based on objective type multiple choice question (MCQ). A total of 200 questions will be asked in this two -hour examination. Every question will be of one digit and 0.25 marks will be deducted if you give the wrong answer.

The examination will include questions related to general knowledge, general intelligence and logic, arithmetic qualifications, Hindi language and understanding and English language and understanding. 40-40 questions will be asked from each section, that is, there will be a total of five sections.

How much salary will be received

Selected candidates for the post of Forest Guard will be paid salary under Pay Level-3, Group-C. The initial salary will be Rs 21,700, which can increase to a maximum of Rs 69,100 over time. Apart from this, candidates will also get other government allowances and facilities.
