Former US National Security Advisor John Bolton once again surrounded Donald Trump. He strongly criticized the ceasefire President Trump’s claims between India and Pakistan and the recent tariff on New Delhi. He described the tariff as an inappropriate step.
Bolton, who worked as an US ambassador to the United Nations, condemned the irregular behavior of Trump to impose tariffs on India in the oil purchase case from news agency ANI. At the same time, questioning the policies of American administration, he said that why did not so much tariffs were imposed on countries like China, Türkiye and Pakistan.
Ceasefire credit unfair: Bolton
In a conversation with ANI, Bolton said, “I think there was a lot of concern in Washington that Trump’s tariff issue and after the attack in Kashmir, it was unfair to take a credit of ceasefire in India and Pakistan.” He appealed to India to prioritize long -term relations with America and insisted that Trump would now be in power for almost three and a half years.
Trump has repeatedly claimed that he established peace between India and Pakistan during the conflict in May. However, India clearly says that the ceasefire took place through direct talks between the Director General of Military Operations (DGMOS) of both the armies.
What did Bolton say while praising India?
Accepting the challenges for India, Bolton advised New Delhi to deal with the situation practically. Appreciating India’s balanced response, Bolton said, “The Government of India should consider Trump as an event and work according to the national interests of India, understanding that Trump’s behavior does not reflect a large -scale American attitude.”
