Adani group to build power plant in bihar: Adani Group company Adani Power is going to invest huge in Bihar. The company will spend about three billion dollars in the state, or about Rs 26,482 crore. A statement issued by the Adani Group on Saturday said that it has signed a 25 -year Power Supply Agreement (PSA) with Bihar State Electricity Generation Company Limited (BSPGCL). Under this agreement, electricity will be supplied to the state from the project to be established in Pirpainti in Bhagalpur district.
Heavy investment in Bihar
The PPA is in addition to the acceptance letter issued by BSPGCL in August by North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL) and South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL). Adani Power achieved this project by offering a minimum supply rate of Rs 6.075 per kWh.
The company has said that about three billion US dollars will be invested to build the new plant and its related infrastructure. The project will be developed under design, construction, financing, ownership and operation models.
Target in five years
The goal of Adani Power is to turn the plant within 60 months. Coal linkage for the power plant has been allocated under the power policy of the Government of India. This project will create direct and indirect employment for 10,000 to 12,000 people during the construction phase and employment opportunities will be available for about 3,000 people when operations start.
