The ‘Unite the Kingdom’ organized by Britain’s radical leader Tommy Robinson attended more than one lakh people on Saturday (September 13). However, violence erupted during the rally, when a group of Robinson supporters clashed with police and counter-costors. Bottles were thrown at the police, many officers were punched and kicked. When the situation deteriorated, the anti-riot squad had to be deployed.

Policemen attacked, 26 injured

According to the Metropolitan police, 26 policemen were injured, out of which four are seriously injured. Somebody’s nose, someone’s teeth, while an officer suffered a spine injury. So far 25 people have been arrested in this violence and investigation is on.

“Many people came only to commit violence”

In this case, Assistant Commissioner Matt Twist said, “Many people came peacefully, but a large number of people arrived with the intention of spreading violence. They attacked the police and tried to break the security cordon.”

Crowd more than expected, counter -demonstration also took place

1 lakh 10 thousand to one lakh 50 thousand people attended the rally, while in response, about 5,000 people gathered in the rally organized by March Against Fasism. There people shouted slogans like “refugees welcome” and “Elimination of Far-Right”.

Leaders and celebrities reacted

France’s Far-Right leader Eric Zemoor said that Europe is being colonized from Muslim countries. At the same time, Elon Musk attacked the Left-Lying government of Britain by sending a video message and said that the uncontrolled migration is ending Britain.

Tribute paid to Charlie Kirk

American right -wing activist Charlie Kirk was also remembered at the rally. A minute of silence was kept in his memory and Bagpiper played “Amazing Grace” tune.

Tommy Robinson and his supporters raised slogans

Robinson (real name Stephen Yaxley-Lenn) is the founder of the English Defense League and is counted among the biggest for—light faces of Britain. His supporters raised slogans like “Stop the Boats”, “Send Dem Home” and “We Want Hour Country Back”.

Political upheaval in Nepal and France

Recently, political and social upheaval has been seen in Nepal and France. Young agitators in Nepal demonstrated on the streets demanding unemployment, corruption and return of monarchy, while France had reports of demonstrations and road violence on a large scale against objectionable laws and economic policies. Demonstrations in the two countries took violent forms after a peaceful start, in which clashes between police and protesters, property was damaged and many were injured.
