In the Asia Cup 2025, there was an uproar over India’s playing match with Pakistan. After the Pahalgam terror attack, all Pakistani artists and social media accounts were banned in India. In such a situation, people are also opposing India’s playing match with Pakistan. Bollywood actor Nana Patekar has also said that India should not play matches with Pakistan.
In a recent interview to news agency IANS, Nana Patekar said- ‘To be honest, I think I do not want to speak on it. Nevertheless, my personal opinion is that India should not play. I think when our people shed blood, then why should we play with them? I believe that I should speak only on those matters which are in my hand.

Sunil Shetty gave opinion in support
Earlier, Sunil Shetty also gave his opinion about the Indo-Pak match. However, he did not oppose the match. He had said- ‘This is a World Sport Organization. They have to follow these rules and regulations because there are many other sports and many players are included in them. Being an Indian, I think it is our individual choice that we want to see it, want to go or not.
‘You are not guilty of playing cricketers …’
Sunil Shetty further said that no cricketer can be held responsible for this match. He had said- ‘India has to take this decision, but you cannot blame the cricketers for playing because they are also players and they are expected to represent the country. I think we all have to take this decision. If I do not want to see it, I will not see. You all have to decide what you want to do. This is not in the hands of BCCI. This is a World Sport Organization, and you cannot blame anyone.
