Daroga candidates demonstrated in Patna on Monday (September 15, 2025). Daroga candidates came out of Patna College to surround the Chief Minister’s residence, but they were stopped near JP Golambar. However, by breaking barricading from here, these people went ahead and reached Dakbangla. Here too, after breaking barricading, some candidates started moving towards the Kotwali police station. After this, the police, using light force, chased these people.
Student leader Khushboo Kumari said that since 2023, the government is getting assurance of reinstatement. The government announced the restoration of the inspector on 1817 posts two years ago. However, the process of restoration has not started yet. A few days ago, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was distributing appointment letters after the recruitment of the soldier, then he said that he will get the restoration of the inspector soon, but he is not being stamped.
Khushboo Kumari said that now the patience of us is ending, so we have been forced to land on the movement. We had announced 10 days ago through the media that if the government does not announce the restoration as soon as possible, then we will agitate on September 15. Movement is being done under this.
Candidates sitting on the middle road after being chased
On the other hand, as soon as the police drove the candidates back from the Kotwali police station, these people sat on the road itself. In the middle of Dakbangla and Kotwali police stations, all these meetings in front of Hari Niwas started shouting slogans against the government. The candidate said that the demand of us is completely justified, which the government is kept in cold storage. There is election in Bihar, in such a situation, the government should declare the recruitment of Daroga before imposing the model code of conduct.
