The official entry for Oscar 2026 has been announced by India. The Film Federation of India (FFI) has informed about 19 September that ‘Homebound’ has been selected for the International Film category from India.
The film is directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and has been made under the banner of Dharma Productions of Karan Johar. Ishaan Khattar, Jahnavi Kapoor are in the lead role in this film. It has not been released in India yet.
When will ‘Homebound’ be released
The film will be released on 26 September i.e. next week in theaters of India. Let me tell you that this film has already been shown in the Prestiuses events like Cannes Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival and has got a great review. It was ranked second for the People’s Choice Award at the Toronto Film Festival.
The film was so well liked that the audience sitting in the event had raised applause for 9 minutes. It will be released on 26 September in theaters around the world including India.
When will the list be revealed
The list of international feature films will be released on 16 December 2025 by the academy and the top 5 films selected on 22 January 2026 will be announced. Let us know that this time the Oscar Award will be held on 15 March 2026 at Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
