Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several important development projects for the whole country at the ‘Samudra Samriddhi’ program held in Bhavnagar, Gujarat on Saturday (20 September). The total cost of these projects is more than Rs 34,200 crore. On this occasion, PM Modi said that India’s biggest enemy is not the enmity of any country, but dependence on its abroad and will have to end the resolve of self -reliant India.
Projects worth 26,354 crore to Gujarat
On this occasion, PM Modi also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of Rs 26,354 crore schemes for the state of Gujarat. These include:
- HPLNG RE-Gasification Terminal at Chara Port,
- Acrylics & Oxo Alcohol Project at Gujarat IOCL Refinery
- 600 MW Green Shoe Initiative
- 475 MW solar feeder under PM-Kusum Scheme
- 45 MW Badeli Solar Project
- Dhordado village of Kutch to become a completely solar energy -operated village
- Extension of government hospitals in Bhavnagar and Jamnagar,
- 70 km national highway upgradation in four lanes
PM Modi’s message on self -reliant India
Addressing the huge public meeting of Bhavnagar, Prime Minister Modi said, “Today India is moving ahead with the spirit of Vishwabandhu. There is no big enemy for us, but if there is a biggest enemy, then it is our dependence on others. This is the biggest weakness of India and we have to defeat it together. The future of 140 crore countrymen is safe in self -sufficient India. If we depend on others, if we depend on others, if we are dependent on others, our self -respecting and the future of our self -respecting will be in danger. He further said that self -reliant India will become the basis of power, respect and stability of the country.

PM Modi observed the exhibition ‘Samriddhi from Samudra’ at the venue. Also, he did a grand road show in Bhavnagar. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel welcomed PM Modi and honored him.
