Ax killed on its feet in America by increasing the fees of H-1B visa, India will benefit

H-1B News: First tariff, then penalty and now H-1B visa, US President Donald Trump is being taken one after the other. Trump has announced a huge fee for H-1B visas. That is, now those applying for H-1B visa will have to pay an application fee of about 88 lakh rupees annually. This new decree of Trump has led to another debate. Industry experts, political personalities and many community representatives in India have given their opinion on this. Together it has been said that this step of America should not be heavy for it. They believe that India is expected to benefit instead of damage. On Friday, Trump signed a proposal to apply a prohibit hike for H-1B visa, which will be effective from Sunday.

What is the issue of H-1B visa?

So far, the fees for H-1B visa ranges from about 2,000 to 5,000 US dollars based on the size and other expenses of the companies. The H-1B visa remains valid for three years. Later, this visa, which was renewed, used more American companies to bring more foreign professionals to them. Many of them also used to belong to India.

According to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), about 71 percent of the total H-1B visas approved in recent years have been released to Indians. Trump has argued that the H-1B visa program is being misused. It was designed to bring more efficient temporary workers in the US. However, this has put the jobs of American workers in danger. Outsourcing companies have used this program to replace cheap foreign employees instead of American employees. He described it as the issue of both economic and national security.

How will India benefit?

However, former NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, reacting strongly to this, he wrote on X, “Donald Trump’s pric hike of 1,00,000 H-1B fees will stop innovation in America and will speed up innovation in India. Closing its doors for global talent, closing its doors, patent, innovation and next wave of start-making on the other hand Is pushing. ” Arguing, he further said that India now has an opportunity to understand the understanding of doctors, engineers and scientists and their experiences, which would choose to work in America otherwise.

Talented people will turn towards India

PTI, quoting former Infosys CFO and veteran investor Mohandas Pai, said in its report, the US will discourage applicants to increase fees for H-1B visas. At first, a limited number of applications are made for this because it is not applicable to those who are there earlier, so it can affect any person applying in future, new applications will be reduced. No one will give $ 100,000 for this, this is absolutely true. “

Entrepreneur and Snapdeal co-founder Kunal Bahl also expressed his opinion and said that due to the new rules, many skilled professionals will return to their respective countries. He wrote on X, “A large number of talented people will return to India due to the new H-1B rules.”
