The sale of this medicine is increasing very fast. Initially, its sales stood at Rs 24 crore and in June 2025, the figure rose to Rs 50 crore. The medicine of silence is very expensive. Its 2.5 ml of gram vial is priced at Rs 3,500 and 5 ml gram vial is Rs 4,375.
Why demand is increasing
Actually, these medicines given to reduce obesity are actually given to treat type 2 diabetes. These drugs are also becoming increasingly popular due to the benefits of their weight loss. Actually, after eating food, GLP-1 and GIP hormones are released to control the level of blood sugar in the body, after which GLP-1 makes people feel full and reduces their appetite. This formula helps in losing weight. In such a situation, medicines like silence and ozapic help to lose weight by mimicking these hormones.
