Nowadays mobile companies are insisting on making their smartphones thin and light. Recently Apple has launched the iPhone Air, which is thinner than 6mm. Companies like Samsung and Techno are also making such thin phones, but it was not always so. When the mobile phone started, the situation was different. The world’s first mobile phone weighs more than one kilogram and its length was more than 25cm. Let’s know the interesting facts related to the world’s first mobile phone.

When did the first mobile phone come?

The mobile phone started in 1973, when senior engineer Martin Cooper, who works in Motorola, made the first public mobile call. He made this call from Motorola Dynatac 8000x and since then the start of a mobile phone is considered. Cooper had called his rival company Bell Labs and told that Motorola has left him behind in making a mobile phone. Earlier too, there were phone calls, but they were made only by car phone or fixed connections installed in some place.

Motorola Dynatac 8000x weighs 1100 grams

Today, even though mobile phones easily get into the pocket, it was not so with Motorola Dynatac 8000X. The reason for this was 1,100 grams and it was a 25 cm long phone. It used to take more than 10 hours to fully charge it and after full charging it used to run for only 30 minutes. There was a LED screen on it, in which some digits were seen. This start in mobile communication proved to be a big stop and since then technology has developed continuously. Gradually, flip phones came and now foldable and trifold phones are coming after touchscreen smartphone.
