The Delhi High Court refused to immediately order the petition of TMC MP Mahua Moitra in the alleged cash for query controversy. The TMC MP had demanded to stop the Lokpal from the hearing of BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on the next hearing. Moitra has said that Dubey violated the secrecy of Lokpal proceedings. According to the report of ‘Live Law’, a bench of Delhi High Court Justice Anil Kshetrapal and Justice Harish Vaidyanathan Shankar said, “It is not appropriate to pass any order on Moitra’s petition at this time.” However, the court also said that the Trinamool Congress MP can offer for relief before the Lokpal of India.

Advocate Samudra Sarangi, appearing for Moitra, argued that Nishikant Dubey is guilty of leaking information about the confidential nature, so the Lokpal should not talk to him on the next hearing. Sarangi said, “The petition is not based on the virtue, but is based on the limited issue of breaching the alleged confidentiality on behalf of Dubey regarding the proceedings of the Lokpal.
