India won the toss and chosen the first bowling. Hardik Pandya is not playing the final match. Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana have also been seated outside, while Rinku Singh has finally got a chance to play for the final match. Why Hardik Pandya is not playing?
Hardik Pandya has not received much batting in the 2025 Asia Cup, but has been very effective in bowling. In fact, Hardik went out of the field due to the cramp after throwing an over in the Super-4 round match against Sri Lanka. He has not been able to recover from that injury, as a result he has to sit out of the finals.
Arshdeep Singh had allowed Sri Lanka to score only 2 runs in the super over in the last match. Still, he did not get a chance in the final-11 of the final. Rinku Singh will be playing the first match at the Asia Cup 2025 and Shivam Dubey has returned to the playing XI.
