Recruitment process
For railway jobs, candidates have to apply through Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) or Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC).
GK, Maths, Reasoning, Science and Current Affairs are asked in the exam. Also, skill test / physical efficiency test is done, document verification and medical test are also conducted. After passing all the stages, a merit list is made and selection is done on the basis of that.
Salary and facilities
The initial salary in railway jobs ranges from 25,000 to 45,000 per month. The annual package can reach about 3.5 lakh to 5.5 lakhs. Apart from this, free or discounted train travel, railway quarters, medical facilities, pension and gratuity are also available.
