Shaan’s real name is Shantanu Mukherjee. He was born on 30 September 1972 in Khandwa city of Madhya Pradesh. He belongs to a Bengali family. He was fond of music since childhood. His grandfather Jahar Mukherjee was a famous lyricist, while his father Manas Mukherjee was a music director. Because of this, there was a deep attachment to music since childhood. At the age of just 13, the shadow of father was raised from Shan’s head. In such a situation, he started working at a young age to help his family.
