Asian Cricket Council Chairman Mohsin Mohsin NAQVI shook the cricket world when he went away from the field with the Asia Cup trophy. After winning the final, Team India refused to take the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi’s hands, after which the Naqvi went to the hotel with the trophy. Naqvi is also a minister in the Government of Pakistan, now he has asked to return the medal and the trophy, but has also kept a strange condition.
According to Cricbuzz, Mohsin Naqvi has told the organizers of the tournament that Team India can take its trophy and medal, but this will be possible only when a program is organized, in which they will present a medal and trophy to the Indian team with their own hands. Due to poor political relations between India and Pakistan, the possibility of such a program is not equal.
After winning the Asia Cup final, Team India remained sitting on the field for a long time. Waiting for a quarter of an hour and finally ACC chairman Mohsin Naqvi went out of the field with his stubbornness, showing his persistence.
BCCI Secretary has raised objection
Recently, in talks with the news agency, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia had objected that Mohsin Naqvi has no right to take the medal and trophy with him.
Devjit Saikia said, “Our team refused to take the trophy from the hands of ACC Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who is also a minister in the Government of Pakistan. So we will not take the trophy with their hands. It does not mean that they will take the trophy and medals with them. It is very unfortunate and hurting the spirit.”
Devjit Saikia also hoped that the trophy and medals would soon be given to Team India. If this does not happen, BCCI will complain to the ICC.
