Before the Bihar assembly elections, Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh has returned to BJP. On Tuesday (September 30, 2025), he met Upendra Kushwaha, the head of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) in Delhi. He also met JP Nadda and Amit Shah. Now discussion has started in the political corridor that if Pawan Singh contests elections, from where can BJP give tickets? Which are the seats from which their claim can be stronger?

There is a possibility that they can be given tickets from Ara or Barhra Assembly. It is being discussed a lot. The question is why both these seats are being discussed for Pawan Singh? Understand its equation.

Pawan Singh is originally from Jokhari village in Bhojpur district. The ancestral house comes in the Badhra assembly seat. On the other hand, a house is also in Ara Town. Pawan Singh comes from Rajput caste. If we look at the caste equation, Badhara and Ara are Rajput dominated seats. Yadav and Koiri caste play a decisive role in both these seats.

Why can you get a ticket from Ara?

The number of Rajput-Yadav voters is more than Ara seat. It is believed that due to the meeting of Upendra Kushwaha and Pawan Singh, there will be no disintegration in the vote of Koiri caste. Here Muslim voters are also more than 10 percent. This seat has been occupied by BJP for a long time. BJP’s Amarendra Pratap Singh was an MLA from 2000 to 2010. When Nitish-Lalu was together in the 2015 assembly elections, Mohammad Nawaz Alam of the Grand Alliance defeated Amarendra Pratap Singh by just 666 votes. However, in 2020, JDU and BJP fought together and Amarendra Pratap Singh again became MLA. Amarendra Prasad Singh is now older, in such a situation, it is believed that Pawan Singh can get a ticket from here.

BJP also occupied Badhara seat

On the other hand, there is also a discussion of Barhra seat. This seat is still occupied by BJP. Raghavendra Pratap Singh is an MLA. This seat mainly plays an important role in Rajput, Yadav and Koiri caste voters. Raghavendra Pratap Singh has been an MLA from this seat six times.

He won the Janata Party in 1985, on the Janata Dal in 1990 and 1995 on the RJD ticket in 2000. Asha Devi won from JDU in 2005. In 2010, Raghavendra Pratap Singh won from RJD but in 2015 Saroj Yadav won from RJD. After this, Raghavendra Pratap Singh entered BJP. He won in 2020. Raghavendra Pratap Singh is also old. In such a situation, Pawan Singh can also fight from here.
