All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi expressed deep concern over the mentality prevailing in the country on Thursday (October 02, 2025), remembering his sacrifice on Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary on the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Addressing a gathering, Owaisi said that the ideology of Gandhi’s killers is still alive in India and it needs to be abolished. He said, ‘Those who killed Gandhi had shot bullets in his chest because they talked about Muslims and favored them.’
‘Godse’s ideology support is wrong’
The AIMIM chief said, “Before the murder, Gandhi had gone to the Dargah of Hazrat Qutubuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki of Delhi, which was harmed by the rioters.” Owaisi insisted that even though Gandhi’s killers were hanged, his ‘dirty thinking’ is still present in the country.
Owaisi called Nathuram Godse and his associates as the ‘first terrorist’ of independent India and said that it is sad that some people still support the ideology of Godse. Today flowers are offered at Gandhi’s tomb, but some people have love for Godse by taking the name of Gandhi on heart and tongue. True love with Gandhi means to remove Godse and his terrorist thinking from the heart.
Owaisi appeals to countrymen
He also expressed concern that Gandhi’s killers are being openly honored and slogans are being raised in his name. Owaisi has appealed to the countrymen to remember Gandhi’s sacrifice and unite against such ideology that promotes hatred and violence.
He said, ‘We have to remember the sacrifice of Gandhi, who gave their lives for the country. To keep their thinking alive, we have to adopt the values of unity, brotherhood and inclusion.
