Additional deployment of Central Armed Police Forces will be required to ensure safety and smooth operation. 2025 assembly elections will have the first elections to be held after the purification of the voter list under the special intensive revision (SIR) in this eastern state, after which the final voter list of 7.43 crore voters was prepared, including 14 lakh voters.
SIR process organized after an interval of 22 years
Gyanesh Kumar also shared detailed information and time limit of SIR organized after a gap of 22 years and said that the final voter list has been given to all political parties. He said that the period of requesting for improvement in the voter list would remain open till 10 days before the candidates filed nomination papers for the upcoming elections. Earlier, they used to train at the district or assembly level. This time, these people have been trained by calling the Election Commission training institute.
Discussion on voter list also
Gyanesh Kumar said that after about 22 years, the voter list in Bihar was improved. It was exaggerated on social media. Whereas the truth is that it was done safely with everyone. The list errors with transparency in collaboration with political parties, officials were corrected. SOP was created in collaboration with all agencies as to how new voters should be given their voter ID card.

The Chief Election Commissioner said that there are a total of 243 assembly constituencies in Bihar, out of which 38 are reserved for Scheduled Castes and 2 Scheduled Tribes.
