Mobile can be taken inside the polling booth

In an important announcement in the press conference of the Election Commission, Chief Election Commissioner Dnyanesh Kumar said that now voters across the country will be able to take their mobile phones inside the polling booth during voting. This change will be implemented from Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 and after that this rule will be effective all over India.

He informed that this time the Election Commission has started a total of 17 new initiatives, one of which is about the facility related to mobile phones. Earlier, voters had to keep mobile out before casting votes, but now the Commission has decided that special arrangements will be made to keep mobiles at the polling station, so that there is no inconvenience.

Mobile will not be used during voting process

This step has been taken to increase the convenience and transparency of voters. However, it has also been clarified that mobile phones will not be used during the voting process. That is, voters can keep their phones together, but their use will be completely banned while casting votes or in a confidential field.

Mobile will be safe at polling booth

The Election Commission also informed that a safe box will be arranged to keep mobiles at every polling station. Due to this, voters will neither worry about losing the phone nor will they face any inconvenience.
