Navi Mumbai International Airport: The National Pushp Lotus of India has been adopted in the architecture of Navi Mumbai International Airport, which appears in temples carving, Mughal patterns and architecture of the palace. The terminal is designed by the famous architect Zaha Hadid, which is also famous for the design of Beijing Daksing International Airport and Guangzhu Opera House. In this design the lotus flower has been used as an inspiration, which is an important symbol in Indian culture.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Navi Mumbai and will inaugurate and inspect Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA). This airport has been built at a cost of about Rs 19,650 crore. The first phase will be inaugurated tomorrow, which will have a capacity of 2 crore passengers per year from a runway, and it will handle both domestic and international flights.
The capacity of the airport will be huge
The new airport will be named after the late folk leader Dinkar Balu (DB) Patil. DB Patil was a local farmer leader. DB Patil has been a well-known face in the entire area of Navi Mumbai. He is remembered because he did a lot of work for the families whose land was taken for the development of the city. He had talked about rehabilitation and compensation for these families.
The airport has finalized the deal with Akasa Air, Indigo and Air India, according to the airport officer, the capacity of the first phase will be almost fulfilled. Initially there will be 20-23 flights every hour, and it can be increased later.
There is no cargo hub in India right now, and Navi Mumbai will change it. ”The group’s plan is to develop Navi Mumbai as an international passenger hub like Dubai, the design of the airport will be such that the international transfer is easy, without repeated security and customs check. This airport will finally reach 10 million passengers with four terms.
PPP ready on model
The project is expected to produce more than 2 lakh jobs. These jobs will be in areas like aviation, logistics, IT, hospitality and real estate. It will also have many sustainable facilities. Such as the use of renewable energy, rain water harvesting and passive cooling system.
Tomorrow at 3:30 pm, Prime Minister Modi will formally inaugurate the first phase of Navi Mumbai International Airport. During the program, he will launch several important projects related to Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and will also address the gathering.
