Will Maxwell play in the T20 series against India or not? Big update has arrived.

Australia’s star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell hopes that he will regain full fitness by the last matches of the upcoming T20 International series against India. Maxwell has undergone surgery on his right wrist.

The 36-year-old player was injured when he was hit on the wrist by a shot from teammate Mitchell Owen during a net session before the T20 series against New Zealand in Mount Maunganui. He has not been selected in the team for the first two T20 matches against India to be held on 29 and 31 October.

Maxwell said, “I think having the surgery last week has given me some hope of playing in the series against India. For this I will have to gain fitness as soon as possible.

Maxwell opted for surgery to regain fitness as soon as possible, so that he could be available for the last three matches of the series with India. These matches will be played in Hobart (November 2), Gold Coast (November 6) and Brisbane (November 8).

He said, “I got the surgery done because I was given two options – either withdraw from the series against India or keep my hopes of playing in it intact.” I opted for surgery. This will keep my hopes of playing in that series intact.

The all-rounder said, “If this doesn’t happen, I will be ready for the BBL in advance and I think this will help me remain physically fit.”

Maxwell said the plaster was removed from his wrist on Wednesday and he will now wear a plastic wrap to protect it for some time, but he has been given full freedom to move his wrist again.

When asked about his future in T-20 international cricket, he said that he is not thinking too far ahead. “I’m really thinking about the first round of the BBL at the moment,” Maxwell said.

Maxwell said that he is excited about the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL), where he will captain the Melbourne Stars. He described the contract with former Indian spinner R Ashwin as a big achievement for the tournament.

Ashwin has signed with Sydney Thunder and will become the first Indian player to play in BBL. He has agreed to play the entire season.

“It’s really exciting,” Maxwell said. This is great for competition. I think whenever you get world class superstars it is a huge bonus for us. He has been a very successful player. This will also help our young players.
