Shubman Gill First Press Conference as ODI Captain: Along with becoming the captain of India’s Test team, Shubman Gill has also been made the captain of ODI team. Team India has been announced for ODI and T20 against Australia. Along with this, the captaincy of ODI has been handed over to Shubman Gill in place of Rohit Sharma. After becoming the ODI captain, Shubman Gill came to hold a press conference for the first time. The Indian team is currently playing a two-match Test series with the West Indies, the second match of which will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi from October 10.
Gill already knew about captaincy
As soon as he became the ODI captain of the Indian cricket team, Shubman Gill has prepared a blueprint for his captaincy career. Gill said in the press conference on becoming the ODI captain, ‘The news of making me captain came during the Test match, but I had come to know about it some time back. This is really a big responsibility and a matter of honor for everyone. I am very excited to lead my country in this format.

Shubhman Gill further said that ‘the last few months have been very exciting for me. But now I am looking ahead. Now I am looking forward to the future. I try to live in the present as much as I can. I don’t want to look at what I have achieved before or what our team has achieved together. Now we are looking ahead and we want to win whatever matches we have in the coming months.

India vs West Indies, 2nd Test
The second Test between India and West Indies will start at 9:30 am on October 10. This match will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Team India is leading 1-0 in the series of these two test matches. Now the Indian team would like to make a clean sweep by winning the second test match also.
