Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan was under criticism for doing ‘gun celebration’ during Asia Cup 2025. He did a ‘gun celebration’ after scoring a half-century against India. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had complained about this to the ICC, which had released Farhan after giving him a warning. Now it seems that Farhan has still not desisted from his antics. Actually, during an ad shoot, he is holding the bat like a gun.
Pictures taken from Sahibzada Farhan’s ad shoot have created a stir on social media. This whole controversy of ‘Gun Celebration’ started when Farhan celebrated his fifty by holding the bat like a gun in the group stage match held on 21st September. In the same year, 26 innocent people lost their lives in the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the anger of the Indian people had not ended. Meanwhile, such action of Farhan had provoked the Indian fans.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf had made a gesture like shooting down a fighter jet during the same match. For this act, Rauf was fined 30 percent of the match fee, while Sahibzada Farhan was let off with a warning.
