The film earned 19.5 crores on the third day. However, earnings decreased every day on the fourth, fifth and sixth day and it stopped by 9.75 crores to 6 crore and then 3.5 crores.

Alexander was defeated by Chhava-Pushpa 2
When the talk of Alexander being a blockbuster was happening before the release, it seemed that the film would break the record of two blockbusters like Chhava and Pushpa 2. Pushpa 2 had earned Rs 425.1 crore from only Hindi version in 7 days, while still the cinema hall did a business of Rs 219.25 crore in the first week itself. Bhaijaan’s film Allu Arjun’s film could not earn a quarter of the film and even half the film of Vicky Kaushal.
