When Shahbaz supported Trump’s Gaza plan, there was an uproar in Pakistan, police fired bullets at Tehreek-e-Labbaik workers.


At least 11 TLP workers have been killed in the ongoing violent clash between Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) and police in Punjab. Party chief Saad Rizvi made this claim on Friday (October 10). Rizvi also said that more than two dozen workers were injured during the clashes and many injured workers were not even given medical aid.

Saad Rizvi raised questions on the police action and asked, “On whose orders are you firing?” He hinted at the possibility of some political or government order behind this violence. The main transport and communication systems have come to a standstill due to the clashes and protests. The Lahore-Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway has been closed, while internet services have been suspended in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and other major cities of Punjab. Islamabad and Rawalpindi are currently under effective lockdown.

Punjab Police raids TLP chief’s house

Here, Punjab Police raided the house of TLP chief Saad Rizvi and took his wife, mother and children into custody. The tension came after TLP announced its Islamabad march, which was in protest against the Gaza agreement. TLP alleges that this agreement is being made with the support of Western powers, especially America.

TLP leader Nasim Chatha was arrested

Matters worsened when senior TLP leader Nasim Chatha was arrested in Islamabad. Along with this, many other prominent leaders and local workers were also detained in Lahore. In response to this, TLP has announced a massive protest in Islamabad, in which thousands of people from Punjab and other provinces are expected to participate.
