India’s biggest score in Test cricket came in 2016 in Chennai Test against a strong team like England. India declared the innings at 759/7 and won the match unilaterally. In this match, Karun Nair hit a brilliant 303 not out and became only the second batsman from India to score a triple century. India won this match by a huge margin and captured the series.
India vs Sri Lanka – Mumbai (Brabourne Stadium), 2009
In 2009, in the Test played at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, India declared the innings for the second time on a big score of 726/9. Virender Sehwag played a explosive inning of 293 runs in that match. India won this match very easily and this innings became an example of Indian batting aggression.
