She wrote, “I have lost a very dear friend today and am completely heartbroken. Pankaj Dheer, always so affectionate, enthusiastic about everything, a talented actor who won the hearts of the audience with his character of Karna in the Mahabharata, so full of life, has breathed his last. He passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, which he was determined to overcome.”
She further wrote, “For me, he was always very supportive, encouraging me in whatever work I did and always being there for me whenever I needed him. I will miss his support and presence in my life. I express my condolences to his loving wife Anita ji, who was the light of his life.”
