Amidst the conflict between these two countries, the United Nations (UN) mission present in Afghanistan has issued an official statement on Thursday (October 16, 2025).

In its official statement, the United Nations Mission has shared information about the casualties and injured people in the conflict that took place on Wednesday (October 15, 2025) at the Spin Boldak border between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The United Nations Mission said in a statement that 17 innocent people have died in the air strike carried out by the Pakistan Army on Wednesday (October 15, 2025). Apart from this, a total of 346 people have also been seriously injured in these attacks.

Pakistan is carrying out air strikes in residential areas of Afghanistan

At the beginning of this conflict, Pakistan’s army was targeting only the military bases of Afghanistan. But yesterday on Wednesday (October 15, 2025), the Pakistani Army also carried out air strikes in the residential areas near the border in Khost and Kandahar cities of Afghanistan.

More than 12 Afghan civilians were killed and more than 100 people were injured in these air strikes. Among those killed was an Afghan journalist, Abdul Ghafoor Abid, who was covering news coverage of the attacks being carried out by Pakistan. Apart from this, another local reporter from Afghanistan, Tawab Arman, also became a victim of Pakistan attack and was seriously injured.

In which areas did the Pakistani Army attack?,

Pakistan Army had carried out a drone attack in Jazi Maidan area of ​​Khosht yesterday on Wednesday (October 15, 2025). In this air attack, more than 20 houses of Afghan citizens collapsed and turned into debris. At the same time, the Pakistani Army had twice carried out drone attacks on the residential areas and markets located near the Spin Boldak border in Kandahar.
