Nestle Global Job Cuts 2025: A news has come out regarding job cuts in Nestle, one of the country’s largest FMCG sector companies. The company is preparing to fire its 16 thousand employees. Which is about 6 percent of the total employees. This step has been taken by Nestle’s new CEO Philippe Navratil.

Not much time has passed since he joined the company. The CEO said in his statement that the whole world is changing very fast and Nestle will also have to change at the same pace. Whatever strict and necessary steps have to be taken for this, he is ready for it. For example, steps like reducing the number of employees.

What does Nestle have to say about layoffs?

Nestle has informed that this retrenchment will be completed in a period of 2 years. Due to this lay off, 16,000 workers will be laid off. Nestlé has planned layoffs globally. That means, Nestle will furlough employees from every branch in the world. In this retrenchment, 12,000 white collar jobs and 4000 supply chain employees will be laid off.

CEO gave information

Nestlé’s new CEO Philippe Navratil joined the company in 2001. He has reached this position after his long experience. The company will benefit from this retrenchment of 1 billion Swiss francs. Which is double the fixed amount. Navratil also said that the company’s sales have fallen by 1.9 percent in the last 9 months and have reached the figure of 65.9 billion Swiss francs. However, the price of the company has increased by 1.7 percent.

Navratil has indicated through his statements that he can make some major changes in the company. Also, a plan can be worked out to sell such units which are not doing well. Such huge layoffs are being linked to these signs of Navratil. Nestle’s profit margin has also declined and it has fallen from Rs 986 crore to Rs 753 crore as compared to the second quarter of last year.
