After the end of monsoon from North India, now pink cold has started. Delhi-NCR is feeling hot during the day and mildly cold at night. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather will remain like this for a few days, after which the cold will start increasing in Delhi too. The weather is likely to be mixed in UP, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Himachal today on Friday (October 17, 2025). There will be light clouds in the sky.

The minimum temperature has started falling gradually in different districts of Uttar Pradesh. While there is bright sunshine during the day, people have started feeling tired during the night and morning. The minimum temperature in the state has also dropped to 16 degrees Celsius.

According to the information received from the Zonal Weather Center located in Amausi, Lucknow, the weather will be dry in all 75 districts of UP from Friday. The Meteorological Department has also kept all the districts of Eastern and Western UP in the Green Zone. The weather is going to be similar on 18th October also. Even on Diwali on 19th and 20th October, the weather will remain normal in the state.

BHU meteorologist Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava said that there will be no significant change in the maximum and minimum temperatures in UP for the next 5 days. At present, north-west winds have started blowing at a slow speed in the entire state. Due to wind pressure, fog may be visible in many districts. Apart from this, the air quality index is also likely to deteriorate in many districts.

Bad air in Bihar
The air quality in Bihar has started deteriorating rapidly. The Air Quality Index (AQI) used to be in two digits during the monsoon season, but now it has continuously reached three digits. This situation is considered very worrying from health point of view. According to IMD, there are fluctuations in day and night temperatures. It is becoming slightly cold in the morning and evening and fog is also being seen.

It will rain in Bengal
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the coastal areas of West Bengal. The Meteorological Department estimates that there may be light rain in many areas of Bengal on Saturday and Sunday. At present there is less chance of rain in Kolkata, but the sky will remain cloudy. There has been no rain in the city for the last four days. Snowfall has started in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir. IMD has predicted that if snowfall continues till Diwali, the cold wave may increase.
