From America to Europe and Australia, the No Kings protest against Donald Trump has become a big mass movement. Thousands of citizens took to the streets to protest against President Donald Trump’s policies and his authoritarian attitude. From big cities like London, Madrid to Washington, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles to the capitals of many Republican states, people raised their voices together in about two and a half thousand places.

The protesters are holding placards in their hands demanding protection of democracy, on which it is clearly written that true patriotism lies in opposing the government and not in blind support. Hundreds of people demonstrated on Ocean Beach in San Francisco by forming the word NO KING with their bodies. Many people said that in the current environment they do not see the America of which they were always proud. People say that the democratic identity of the country is in danger.

What did Trump say on No Kings Protest?

President Donald Trump, while talking to Fox Business Channel, said that he is being called a king, whereas he does not consider himself a king. However, just hours after giving the statement, he shared several AI-generated videos on his Truth social platform. In these videos he was shown wearing a crown and cape, as if he was the ruler of an empire. A video showed him flying a fighter plane, throwing offensive material (feces) at the protesters. In the second video, he was presented like a king, while Democratic leaders were shown bowing. After these clips surfaced, a huge debate broke out on social media. Critics say that Trump is using digital mediums in this way for political campaigning.

Trump remained silent on the protests

When the entire country was involved in protests, Trump was celebrating the weekend at his home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida. According to news agency AP, no official statement came from the White House or the Republican Party during this period. This movement has become the third biggest protest of this year. In June, similar No Kings demonstrations were organized at more than two thousand places.

It is now our responsibility to save democracy – protesters

One protester, who previously worked for the CIA, said he had always worked against extremism abroad, but now he saw the same threat at home. He says that the Trump administration is weakening democracy and pushing the country towards division. Many organizations have described this movement as not just a protest but an effort to protect democracy. People believe that this fight is more for freedom and equality than for power.
