BCCI will take big action! PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is no longer in trouble in the Asia Cup trophy controversy; Know the latest updates

BCCI can take big action in the Asia Cup trophy dispute. After not getting any response from Asian Cricket Council Chairman (ACC Chairman) Mohsin Naqvi, BCCI may seek intervention of the International Board in this matter in the next ICC meeting. It is being told that BCCI had sent a letter last week, in which the trophy was to be given to the Indian team, but no reply has come from Naqvi.

BCCI has made it clear that either the trophy should be given to Team India, or this issue will be raised in the upcoming ICC meeting. Let us tell you that the Asia Cup trophy is currently in Dubai, where it is kept in the office of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). In a media report, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said that the Indian Board is taking one step at a time as per the law.

This matter started when the Indian team refused to accept the trophy from Mohsin after the 5-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup final. After some time Mohsin Naqvi left from there with the trophy.

A few weeks ago, an ACC meeting was held on 30 September, in that meeting Rajiv Shukla was India’s representative, he is also the current vice president of BCCI. In that meeting, Rajeev Shukla said that the trophy was the property of the Asian Cricket Council, hence Naqvi had no right to personally take the trophy out of the field.

Even after apologizing to the ACC board members, he refused to give the trophy to Team India. He said that if Team India wants to take the trophy, then it will have to personally come to the ACC office in Dubai and take the trophy from their hands.
